Firm it up

Firm it up

One morning while making breakfast, a man walked up to his wife and pinched her on the butt and said, "If you firmed this up, we could get rid of your control top pantyhose." While this was on the edge of intolerable, she kept silent.

The next morning, the man woke his wife with a pinch on each of her breasts and said "You know, if you firmed these up, we could get rid of your bra."

This was beyond a silent response, so she rolled over and grabbed him by his penis. With a death grip in place, she said, "You know, if you firmed this up, we could get rid of the gardener, the postman, the poolman and your brother."

BLACK HOLE

Collisions Fuel Black Hole Feeding Frenzies By Clara MoskowitzStaff

Black hole feeding frenzies are fueled by galactic collisions, suggests a new study that confirms astronomers' suspicions. Astronomers have had their eyes on a certain class of galaxies that appear to contain central black holes that gorge on gas and dust. So far, scientists have been unsure what triggers these giant meals, but new radio observations may help explain how they work.

Seyfert galaxies are a type of galaxy known as Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN), thought to host supermassive black holes in their centers. Seyferts are slightly tamer versions of the extremely luminous AGN called quasars and blazars.

Scientists guessed that recent interactions and neighboring galaxies might have stirred up Seyferts' gas and dust and propelled it toward their giant black holes. But when optical telescopes observe Seyferts in light visible to the human eye, the Seyferts show no sign of close encounters with other galaxies.

Now astronomers have used the Very Large Array (VLA) telescope to photograph these objects in radio light, and found that the majority of Seyferts do indeed seem to have recently collided with a neighbor. For comparison, the researchers observed non-Seyfert galaxies and found that very few showed signs of an interaction.

"This comparison clearly shows a connection between close galactic encounters and the black-hole-powered activity in the cores," said Ya-Wen Tang, who began this work at the Institute of Astronomy & Astrophysics, Academia Sinica (ASIAA), in Taiwan and now is a graduate student at the National Taiwan University. "This is the best evidence yet for the fueling of Seyfert galaxies. Other mechanisms have been proposed, but they have shown little if any difference between Seyferts and inactive galaxies."

The VLA telescope was able to study the galaxies' hydrogen gas by observing the radio waves emitted by hydrogen atoms. The hydrogen gas in many Seyferts left a clear signal of being disturbed by a collision with another galaxy.

"Our results show that images of the hydrogen gas are a powerful tool for revealing otherwise-invisible gravitational interactions among galaxies," said Jeremy Lim, also of ASIAA. "This is a welcome advance in our understanding of these objects, made possible by the best and most extensive survey ever made of hydrogen in Seyferts."

The new study helps scientists better understand these violent systems, where gas and dust swirl around dense black holes that eventually gobble up the incoming material.

"The VLA lifted the veil on what's really happening with these galaxies," said Cheng-Yu Kuo, a graduate student at the University of Virginia. "Looking at the gas in these galaxies clearly showed that they are snacking on their neighbors. This is a dramatic contrast with their appearance in visible starlight."

BANGLADESH: “River refugee” numbers continue to swell

BANGLADESH: “River refugee” numbers continue to swell

Bholar Basti, a water-logged slum in Dhaka city, accommodates more than 30,000 people, most of whom were displaced by river erosion DHAKA, 1 August 2008 (IRIN) - Bholar Basti, a slum of 30,000 people in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, is not where Alimullah Mia and his wife and three children dreamt of living but that is where they have been for more than a decade. They once lived in a village called Helai Kandi on the western shores of Bhola, an island district in the estuary of Bangladesh’s three main rivers – the Meghna, Padma and Brahmaputra. “We had our home in the village, more than an acre of land, two cows and a plough,” the 45-year-old recalled. “Fifteen years ago, the Meghna devoured everything in a matter of six months, rendering us homeless and poverty-stricken. There was no job, no food, and no security of life.” After two months on the levee, they headed to Dhaka where they found others just like them. “There were other people too. We followed them and ended up at Bholar Basti [slum of Bhola people],” he said. From being a self-sufficient and established farmer, he soon found himself penniless and became a push cart operator instead. “My wife became a domestic servant and my children are nothing but urchins,” Mia lamented. For most residents of Bholar Basti, the story is more or less the same.

Earth Quake & Tsunami July 22 -2009 ?

Earth Quake & Tsunami on July 22 -2009 ?

Quake and Tsunami Predicted July 22 2009Hello there. I just wanted 2 let you know that please stay away from the beaches all around in the month of July. There is a prediction that there will be another tsunami or earthquake hitting on July 22nd. It is also when there will be sun eclipse. Predicted that it is going 2 be really bad and countries like Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak), Singapore, Maldives, Australia, Mauritius, Si Lanka, India, Indonesia , Philippines are going 2 be badly hit. Please try and stay away from the beaches in July. Better 2 be safe than sorry. Please pass the word around. Please also pray for all beings.
Please be more cautious as the warnings has been given.
Quake and Tsumai Predicted July 22 2009.

The eclipse quake theory is as follows, When the gravitational force of the sun and moon are both pulling on a plate that has not had series of recent earth quakes, the extra pull is all that is needed to "pop the seam" and cause a major quake.

Japans tectonic plates
6+ Magnitude Quake on July 22 2009 at 3:00PM Local Japanese time. This will be follower by two level 5+ Earthquakes and a Tsunami between 5:00PM and 7:00PM. The tsunami will start out in the pacfic ocean (to the South East of Japan ... Along the fault line) and hit all the islands to the south west of Japan, Indonesia and even reach New Zealand. The major quakes will actually be along the fault lines in the Ocean.
the theory that the gravitational pull of the Sun and Moon pulling together will do the following things. 1. Lift the tectonic plates2. Cause the tide to rise more than usual3. Cause an underground molten magma tide to dip and raise the plates following the water tide.
Taken all the time data from the Nasa eclipse site into an excel spread sheet four the four tectonic plates in the region. assumed an hour delay for each event following the lunar eclipse, and then summed the values. I assumed that the events would last longer for the fluids, water and molten magma than for dry land. and then summed the values four all 4 plates where Japan sits.

The blue path above shows the lunar path that will achieve the full solar eclipse at around 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Red dots show where the solar eclipse will be full.

Earth Quake & Tsunami are going to happen on July 22 -2009 ?

And, you are trying to get things straight so we can live there forever and spend a lifetime together. i love you very much and happy aniversary! i hope you remember me today.
I want you to know that I love you from the deepest part of my heart. My love for you is unconditional. The love for you is so strong and the most powerful feeling that I have had in a long time and I am just at a loss for words when it comes to you.
I just wish that there was another way that we could be together without living so far apart right at the time being. I want you to know that I love you and always will and there is nothing that will ever change that about how I feel... I love you so much. happy aniversary!

Dear baby,

just wanted to let you know how much I do love you and how close we have became in such a short period of time. My love is strong and you mean everything to me. You are the one who always makes me feel better about myself and makes me laugh at all the crazy stuff we talk about that no one understands but us. I'm glad I found you and I hope we spend a lot more happy times together in the future, i know it’s really hard being away from you, if I could do something that we can be together forever, I will do it right away. I wish I could find a genie In a bottle so that my wish will be granted. Thanks just for being here for me I love you more than words I could say. I love you so much.
